RCAF Snowbirds & ITAF Frecce Tricolori
This year’s AirVenture saw appearances by four military aerobatic teams, led by three performances of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s Snowbirds, as part of the EAA’s salute to the RCAF’s 100th anniversary. The Italian Air Force’s Frecce Tricolori (“Tricolor Arrows”) did not do a full performance, but made several passes with their signature green, white and red smoke (the colors of the Italian flag). The USAF Thunderbirds and USN Blue Angels also made brief passes as they overflew Oshkosh on the way to performances at other locations.
